Review in a way

Today in class we basically reviewed what we went over two days ago. We went over the article Message to Garcia. We also took time to talk about who could do a better job leading the class when Mr. Schick wasn't there. It was really fun. Next we reviewed over the key terms that we had to define in last nights blog. Sure I got a few wrong, but now I understand the correct definition for each word. I think today's class was great and I hope everyone else feels the same way I do. We also found out that our class is ahead of everyone else. We are also the class that has the most people with their blog set up. We also had a whole big discussion today in class if we consider ourselves the smart class or a stupid class which i thought was quite funny. We also learned about the death of Socrates. That was a horrible way for the man to die. I can't even imagine drinking poison then just dieing. the thought of it makes me feel sick.

A Message to Garcia

Today in class we read A Message To Garcia, by Elbert Hubbard. It was a very interesting yet short story. The story was written in about 1899. I learned that Garcia lived somewhere up in the mountains, but no one was absolutely sure on exactly where he lived. Roan was chosen to find Garcia and give him a letter. I thought that the author was trying to make the reader realize how when Roan was chosen to take the message he didn't ask any questions and just did as he was told. We know that most people out in the world are lazy and would ask like a million questions before doing what they were told. By then you minds well just  do it by yourself. Overall the message that the class got was that even though there are lazy people out  there in the world there are also people who are not lazy and do what they are told when they are supposed to. Even though we read the passage we also had a bit of fun in class today too. We talked about how Mr.Schick like the name Elbert and that he would name his next dog that. Even though we took time to learn  I still had a ton of fun in class today. Even though I have only went to Human Geo two times I can see that i am really going to enjoy Mr.Schick's class.

Rules and Expectations

Today in class we all got our assigned seats. After we were done with the seating arrangements we went of the class syllabus. We learned what we need for class everyday. We also learned the rules about being late and turning things in late. Now we know what Mr.Schick expects of us. We also do blogs so that we don't have to use up as much paper to kill trees. Mr Schick prefers us to write our notes down in a composition book so that we don't get yourself in unnecessary trouble with our laptops. He does all this so that he can help to prepare us for college. Mr.Schick also spent time in class to go over blogger.com and how to use it properly. While he explained blogger.com he explained how his grading works for all the blogs too. I look forward to going to his class just about everyday.
I was absent form your class on Thursday for the first day of school because my mom had to pick me up early for a court date.
